Vincent Créance / France

After graduating from the École Supérieure de Design Industriel in Paris, Vincent Créance began his career in 1985 at the Plan Créatif agency. He became the agency’s industrial design director in 1990 and developed numerous products for the high-tech and consumer market. In 1996, he joined Alcatel as industrial design director in the international telephone segment. After becoming vice president brand in 1999, he took on responsibility for industrial design, user experience and corporate communications in the mobile phones division. When the French-Chinese joint venture TCL & Alcatel Mobile Phones was established in 2004, Vincent Créance was named design and corporate communications director. Two years later, he moved to MBD Design, one of the major design agencies in France, as president and CEO where he developed creative transport and product design solutions.

In 2017, Université Paris-Saclay requested that he implements the innovative “Design Spot” centre, which brings students, researchers and entrepreneurs together and supports them with design know-how in research and development projects.
