The ancient name for chopsticks is 'Zhu', but the people living in the south of the Yangtze River changed the name from 'Zhu' to 'Kuai', as the boatmen were wary of the connotation of 'stop' carried by the character 'Zhu'. From the image of 'a boat' to 'a pair of chopsticks', the abstracted streamline shape of the boat is divided by a water line, with the 'paddle' as the chopstick holder. It is made by the time-honoured brand in Suzhou called Luyuan Pavilion (specialized in copper artware). When the two chopsticks are put together, they resemble a boat, and when held back to back apart, the fingers can fit the curvature of the chopsticks perfectly. The transparent acrylic packaging, and the laser engraved water wave pattern combine Chinese cultural heritage with international design language.
