As a general indoor service robot, the RoboMing is used in an indoor planar environment. RoboMing can go on automatic cruise according to set paths by users or be remotely controlled with the iPhone or iPad by users. Additionally, the RoboMing is also equipped with the following features: 1. Facial recognition feature to distinguish facial expressions, and interact with humans 2. Voice recognition feature so that users can give voice instructions to RoboMing. 3. Self-balancing feature to allow the robot to walk upright with both wheels. The robot can automatically avoid obstacles and can also recognise the humans ahead while in automatic cruise mode, stopping current applications to interact with the users. 4. Indoor positioning feature: RoboMing can move automatically with indoor positioning through integrating the server positioning algorithm.5. Bottom support feature of the robot: When RoboMing is interacting with people, in a state of rest, in a state of inactivity or when its power supply is low, it will automatically let down the support frame for balancing purposes 6. Video communication feature: Users can communicate via video with RoboMing and at the same time the robot can proactively capture real time onsite information for transmission back to the user.
